Starlytics ("we", "us", "our") operates https://app.starlytics.app (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you use our Service.

2. YouTube API Services

This application uses YouTube API Services to retrieve public channel statistics, video metrics, and creator data from YouTube.

By using Starlytics, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service.

3. Google Privacy Policy

Your use of YouTube data through Starlytics is also subject to the Google Privacy Policy.

4. Data We Collect

We collect and store the following public YouTube data:

• Public channel metadata (channel name, subscriber count, total view count, video count)
• Channel descriptions and thumbnails
• Public video statistics (views, likes, comments per video)
• Public statistical snapshots and derived forecast records retained for up to 365 days for trend analysis and forecast evaluation

We DO NOT collect:

• User comments or comment content
• Private or unlisted video data
• Google or YouTube sign-in credentials or channel-owner OAuth tokens (there is no account connection feature)
• Channel contact information or email addresses

5. How We Use Data

We use the collected data to:

• Provide real-time tracking of YouTube creator statistics
• Perform historical trend analysis and growth velocity calculations
• Generate breakout prediction scores using our proprietary AI engine
• Enable niche discovery and creator search features
• Display comparative analytics across multiple creators

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell or rent YouTube data. Render hosts the application and its stored data; Vercel hosts this website. When you use AI chat, your message and selected creator context are sent to Camber to generate a response.

AI chat is optional. Do not include credentials, private channel data, or sensitive personal information in messages. Provider processing and retention may differ from the application database; contact us for deletion requests involving these providers.

7. Cookies and Storage

Starlytics uses browser storage and website analytics as follows:

• Remember acceptance of our terms and privacy policy
• Remember whether the AI chat introduction has been shown
• Keep current results and chat messages in browser memory during use
• Use Vercel Analytics on the landing website to understand site usage
• Use Cloudflare Web Analytics on the landing website and main app to measure visits, page views, referring websites, and page performance. Cloudflare Web Analytics does not use cookies or local storage to identify visitors.

When enabled after approval, Google AdSense serves advertisements in the main app’s desktop side margins. Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies, IP addresses, and device/browser information to deliver and measure ads, subject to your consent choices where required. No ads run on the landing page. Read how Google uses information from partner sites and manage personalization in My Ad Center. Where offered, use Google’s on-page privacy message to change consent. Ad preferences do not affect access to creator analysis.

You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but this may limit certain features of the Service.

8. Retention and Security

Stored public YouTube statistical snapshots and derived forecast records expire after 365 days under our approved retention scope. Video titles and metadata expire after 29 days without refresh. Channel names and thumbnails are refreshed during successful updates and deleted after 29 days without a successful refresh. Cleanup runs at startup, during stored-data requests, and every 30 minutes. Historical snapshots are not renewed when current counts are refreshed.

Starlytics currently has no Google or YouTube sign-in and does not use channel-owner OAuth tokens. You can review or revoke permissions for other connected applications on Google account permissions.

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data:

• Server API keys are configured in hosting environment settings and are not sent to the browser
• HTTPS encryption for all data transmission in production
• Rate limiting and abuse prevention mechanisms
• Application-level request size limits
• Restricted access to production systems

9. Your Rights

You may request access to or deletion of data we hold by emailing the address below with the relevant channel URL or details of your request. We process deletion requests as soon as possible and within seven calendar days. Deleting data held by Starlytics does not delete data on YouTube.
